The squirrel fiction stories

So why squirrel fiction? Well, the original writing team for SFN met on a forum set up by actor David Hewlett, who plays Dr Rodney McKay in Stargate Atlantis and SG1. There was a group of friends who regularly posted on this forum who went by the name of squirrels. A few of our friends asked to be included in the stories we wrote, so we gave them the nickname squirrel fiction. When we set up this site we named it Squirrel Fiction Network, which later was shortened to SFN.

Sadly, the original site where we all met was lost following a hacking incident, but David has since set up a new site dGeek with a wider remit and a bigger membership, including lots of new people who have adopted the name squirrels.
